R Scrapbook store is collecting Toys for the Holidays!

R Scrapbook Store has teamed up with Westminster Presbyterian Church to collect gently used toys for the village of San Jorge in Guatemala.  This village has a population of 5,000 people and about 2,000 of them are children.  Our goal is to send as many toys as possible so that the children have a Christmas.  Please keep in mind that the toys should not have a lot of pieces to them.  These families have dirt floors in their homes and some do not have roofs.  Gently used toys are great or new toys would be wonderful!  Please no books as most of these children can not read.  We will be honoring our discount through the 19th of October.  This will give us time to get the items to Guatemala.  You may drop off your donations at any of the two sites, R Scrapbook Store or Westminster Presbyterian. 

As many of you are aware, Ronna, R Scrapbook Store Owner, has been to this village in Guatemala and is helping in many ways to support this little community.  The Westminster Presbyterian Church built a community center to provide more education to the community. Check out www.mayanfamilies.org.  You will see why we have left our hearts at this particular village.
